Oilandgas is seeking a Senior Process Engineering Specialist to contribute to significant capital initiatives.
In this role, you will operate under general oversight, executing all standard elements of process engineering.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to collaborate within a team or exhibit leadership skills in managing specific areas or systems throughout projects.
Proficiency in developing heat and material balances utilizing process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, along with the creation of process flow diagrams (PFDs), is essential.
Experience with the development of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) is required, as well as expertise in generating fluid hydraulic calculations for line sizing and formulating process data for in-line instruments and loads for rotating machinery, including pumps, compressors, and turbines.
Necessary qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with typical experience ranging from 10 to 20 years.
Candidates should possess experience or familiarity with the following:Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of process engineers to collaborate with process licensors and enhance a licensor basic engineering package to FEED quality.
- Executing a licensor package for downstream steam cracker derivatives and aromatics units.
- Coordinating with high-value engineering centers.
- Guiding a team of process engineers in:
- Process simulation
- PFD and P&ID development
- Hydraulic calculations
- Process vessel sizing
- Overpressure analysis and relief calculations, including flare load estimation and flare header sizing.
Production of process design basis documents and various narratives is expected, along with managing workgroup schedules, budgets, and progress.
Experience Range: 10-20 years
