Position Overview:

We are actively looking for Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants to enhance our esteemed team in the field of anesthesia care.

In this role, you will engage with a variety of clinical scenarios, providing you with numerous opportunities for career advancement and skill enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia for a range of surgical procedures, including orthopedic, spine, general, and urological operations.
  • Work collaboratively with anesthesiologists to ensure safe and effective anesthesia delivery and monitoring throughout the surgical process.
  • Prepare and manage the necessary anesthesia equipment and pharmaceuticals.
  • Assist in the placement and oversight of monitoring devices such as arterial and central lines.
  • Support airway management tasks, including intubation and extubation procedures.
  • Continuously monitor patient vital signs and make necessary adjustments to anesthesia levels.
  • Document all patient care activities with precision.
  • Facilitate patient transport and handover to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).

Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Anesthesia Assistant (CAA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) is required.
  • Valid certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) is mandatory.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are essential.
  • Possession of an active CAA license in the state of practice, free from any disciplinary actions.

  • Excellent communication abilities and a strong capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in the operation of anesthesia equipment and the administration of medications.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various hospital environments and anesthesia protocols.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline such as nursing, pre-med, or biology is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program is necessary.
  • A Master's degree in Anesthesiologist Assistant Studies is preferred.
