We are looking for Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants to become integral members of our esteemed healthcare organization.

In this role, you will engage with a variety of clinical scenarios and benefit from numerous avenues for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia for a range of surgical procedures, including orthopedic, spine, general, and urological operations.
  • Work in conjunction with anesthesiologists to provide and oversee anesthesia care throughout the surgical process.
  • Prepare and manage essential equipment and medications required for anesthesia delivery.
  • Assist in the placement and oversight of monitoring devices such as arterial and central lines.
  • Support airway management tasks, including intubation and extubation procedures.
  • Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and make necessary adjustments to anesthesia levels.
  • Document patient care activities with precision and accuracy.
  • Facilitate patient transfer and handover to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Anesthesia Assistant (CAA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) is mandatory.
  • Valid certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) is required.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are essential.
  • An active CAA license in the state of practice with no disciplinary actions is necessary.

  • Excellent communication abilities and a strong capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in the operation of anesthesia equipment and management of medications.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various hospital environments and anesthesia protocols.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline such as nursing, pre-med, or biology is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program is essential.
  • A Master's degree in Anesthesiologist Assistant Studies is preferred.
