Patient Access Representative I

Job Summary
Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative I to join our team. As a Patient Access Representative I, you will be responsible for registering patients presenting to the medical center for treatment. Your priority will be to deliver high-quality and effective service to our patients and their family members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all admissions activities for pre-admit and face-to-face registration of patients presenting to the Main Admissions and/or outpatient areas for treatment.
- Facilitate patient access to Cedars Sinai Medical Center and secure all demographic and financial patient registration information.
- Verify insurance coverage, Third Party Liability (TPL) screening, Medi-Cal / Medicare eligibility, and Workers Compensation eligibility.
- Secure cash deposits (co-pays, deductibles, cash packages) and explain information to patients and their families.
Requirements
- High School or GED required.
- 2 years of college preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- 2 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or related experience preferred.
