Position SummaryThe Asleep Overnight Support Specialist will offer assistance and care to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities during overnight hours as required in Level 3 residential settings. Staff will support individuals who may need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in daily living activities while operating within a home environment and the community. Individuals may require moderate to significant physical assistance or accommodations. Staff will receive specialized training to provide enhanced supervision or interventions tailored to address multiple disabilities, which may include behavioral support or advanced medical care.
Work ScheduleShifts include Friday evenings, Saturday evenings, and Sunday evenings, totaling 38 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Assist individuals with all aspects of daily living during morning routines, including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and other personal care needs.
- Provide care during overnight hours for individuals who may awaken or require assistance, including monitoring vital signs and administering topical treatments.
- Ensure the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each individual while delivering services.
- Maintain the safety of all individuals during shifts, implementing emergency protocols as necessary.
- Deliver services in accordance with DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all relevant regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Document daily and monthly progress notes, shift checklists, and other program records in compliance with applicable standards.
- Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations.
- Maintain required training certifications, including CPR/FA, OSHA, PABC, and MAP.
- Complete household cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma with at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
- Successful completion of a Massachusetts-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or equivalent education meeting state certification requirements.
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification in Massachusetts, maintaining active status.
- A bachelor's degree may substitute for CNA certification based on relevant experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a minimum of one year of driving experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications utilized by the agency.
- Frequent stair climbing is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to drive and meet agency driving record standards.
- Normal range of eyesight and hearing, with or without corrective measures.
