Position Overview

Summary

First Baptist Preschool is a faith-based educational institution catering to children aged 2 1⁄2 years through kindergarten. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in this ministry, positively impacting the lives of children and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to impart Biblical truths and academic knowledge through engaging play and hands-on activities that promote holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Faith Integration: Develop and implement lessons that incorporate Biblical teachings and align with the school's mission.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain punctuality, professional appearance, and effective communication while adhering to the school's ethical standards.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment by following hygiene protocols and supervising children effectively.
  • Building Relationships: Foster strong connections with families through open communication, teamwork, and empathy.
  • Educational Development: Create lesson plans and activities that nurture each child's unique abilities and encourage exploration.

Qualifications

  • All staff must affirm the Southern Baptist Faith and Message 2000, ensuring alignment with the school's doctrinal beliefs.
  • A college degree in early childhood education or a Child Development Associate's credential (CDA) is required, along with relevant experience or coursework.
  • Annual health certifications from a physician or nurse practitioner are mandatory, along with current TB screening and First Aid/CPR training.
  • Background checks and fingerprinting are required for all staff members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a faith-based preschool setting is advantageous.
