Position Overview:

The role of Senior Associate, Mortgage Loan Administrator involves critical responsibilities in loan servicing and accounting for assigned commercial or residential mortgage portfolios. The team is tasked with entering loan data into SS&C's proprietary loan servicing software, processing and reconciling loan lifecycle activities, and generating precise accounting packages and service requests. Additionally, the team supports the completion of any necessary regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily and monthly loan accounting processes, including loan balance and general ledger reconciliation, amortization reviews, and reporting.
  • Process loan cash transactions, including payment processing, loan payoffs, escrow disbursements, and investor sales.
  • Monitor cash accounts and reconcile loan payments received from borrowers.
  • Input newly originated or purchased loans into SS&C's loan servicing software and prepare welcome packages for borrowers.
  • Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of quarterly and annual regulatory packages.
  • Track and update collateral and compliance documentation for loans, including rent rolls and operating statements.
  • Generate various loan notices, such as billing statements, maturity notices, late payment notices, and payoff statements.
  • Support the implementation process for new clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the insurance sector or commercial real estate loan administration.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP accounting or IFRS.
  • Experience with NAIC reporting, particularly NAIC Schedule B, is highly preferred.
  • Investment general ledger experience is strongly desired.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet various deliverables.
  • Proficient in identifying processing issues and developing resolutions.
  • Strong communication skills for professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to maintain organization in a deadline-driven environment while paying close attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with advanced Excel skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL is a plus.
