Position Overview

The Loan Processor (Coordinator) plays a crucial role in managing our Conventional and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) loan products. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized and proactive, capable of anticipating potential delays in the loan process and taking timely action to keep everything on track. This role is vital in ensuring a seamless experience for our customers by providing essential information at the right moments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engaging directly with customers and third parties to facilitate a smooth and positive experience.
  • Efficiently managing a pipeline to ensure timely communication with internal teams and borrowers.
  • Guiding borrowers through the underwriting process until funding.
  • Interpreting loan applications and relevant documentation, including credit, income, and asset information.
  • Addressing suspense decisions and proposing effective solutions.
  • Preparing loans for final underwriting review.
  • Understanding automated orders for appraisals and titles.
  • Escalating any delays from internal or external parties.
  • Assisting in the completion of collateral conditions.
  • Resolving blockers and quality control issues before closing.
  • Communicating with customers regarding loan estimates and compliance with mortgage guidelines.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance the borrower experience.
  • Eligible for a monthly incentive compensation plan.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial or mortgage services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume pipeline effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Resilient mindset, with a commitment to overcoming challenges.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Empathetic, humble, and accountable approach to work.
  • Experience with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and Jumbo mortgages is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with HELOC loan processing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of conventional underwriting product guidelines is beneficial.
