Position: Project Engineer

Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities

Sterling Engineering is actively seeking a Project Engineer with a robust background in water and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the following areas:

• Proficient in the planning, design, permitting, inspection, and construction management of water and wastewater infrastructure, including but not limited to pump stations, distribution systems, collection systems, storage facilities, and treatment plants.

• Experience in coordinating infrastructure design with various engineering disciplines such as traffic, geotechnical, environmental, mechanical/electrical, and surveying is highly desirable.

• Previous project management experience is advantageous.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment with minimal oversight.

• Self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and adept at managing multiple priorities.

• Strong aptitude for planning and overseeing the preparation of construction drawings and specifications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• 4-7 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is strongly preferred. Experience with Microstation, Revit, ArcGIS, WaterGEMS, and/or SewerGEMS is a plus.
