Remote Work: This role is primarily remote, with occasional meetings required with executive leadership.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $198,000-$258,000. Several factors may influence the final compensation, including but not limited to, relevant government contract labor categories, prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic considerations, educational background, and certifications.
Position OverviewOur client is in search of a senior-level professional to oversee and manage their Software Development division.
Key Responsibilities- Assessing, enhancing, and managing the Software Engineering recruitment and hiring processes.
- Developing and implementing a Software Engineering culture strategy, along with its management.
- Establishing and overseeing a Software Engineering Employee development framework.
- Ensuring alignment with the client's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) policies and procedures.
- Evaluating, estimating, and collaborating on the client's research and development initiatives.
- Providing general support for business development activities.
- Security Clearance: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
- Experience/Education: A minimum of 15 years in Government Software Engineering, aligned with the preferred technical skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript
- Database Management: Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and NoSQL databases (Accumulo, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, etc.)
- Software Build Tools: Java build tools (Ant, Gradle, Maven, etc.), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
- Java Frameworks: Spring and Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Data Processing Technologies: Kafka, NiFi, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.
- Development Environments: Proficient in Windows, Linux, and Mac
- Version Control: Experience with Git
- Containerization: Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker
- Software Testing: Junit, PyUnit, etc.
- Software Security/Quality Assurance Testing: Sonar/SonarQube, Fortify, Code Review, Code Coverage
- Data Formats: JSON, YAML, XML, AVRO, Protobuf, Parquet, etc.
- Cloud Services: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
