Patient Service Representative

As a key member of the Meharry Medical College team, the Patient Service Representative will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical setting.
- Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, registering new patients, and managing patient flow to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
- Accurately collect and verify patient demographic information, including insurance details, and reconcile no-show patients.
- Perform front office duties, such as answering phones, greeting patients, and maintaining a clean waiting area.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to schedule appointments, obtain authorizations, and conduct patient callbacks.
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, and self-pay balances, and assemble medical records as needed.
Requirements
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.
- Typing speed and accuracy.
