Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a consistent and precise account structure for all transactions, routinely review financial reports, and make necessary updates.
  • Facilitate month-end closing processes, collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate subledger postings.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, analyze account balances, and produce specific financial and statistical reports for management. Additionally, generate ad-hoc financial reports as required.
  • Oversee the daily management of fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, adjustments, depreciation, and reporting.
  • Evaluate construction-in-process projects, record accounting entries upon completion, and ensure adherence to GAAP. Prepare journal entries and reconcile activities with the general ledger.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of monthly balance sheet accounts, trace them back to original documents and support schedules, and reconcile bank accounts along with selected balance sheet accounts.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline is required. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in general or cost accounting within private or public industry is required.
  • Experience with construction contracts and projects, as well as fixed asset capitalization, is advantageous.
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000.00 per year.
