Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Lead Staffing. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials according to project needs
  • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
  • Inspect and repair damaged framework or structures
  • Follow health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with other construction workers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Manage and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition
  • Follow all local building codes and regulations
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as woodworking machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Strong knowledge of building materials and construction methods
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
