Key Responsibilities

The Logistics Route Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing relationships with drivers and customers through effective communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving. This position includes responsibilities related to dispatching and shipping tasks. The Logistics Route Coordinator also serves as a backup for the Freight Manager and may be considered for future advancement. Flexibility to work over 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, is essential.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe and inclusive work environment for drivers
  • Schedule orders to align with delivery timelines and customer requirements
  • Verify customer delivery schedules with accurate address and contact details
  • Communicate driver routes promptly to ensure work-life balance and predictability
  • Develop executable loads and plan delivery stops with safety as a priority
  • Enhance driver productivity, optimize fleet utilization, and maximize shipment weight per load
  • Improve route efficiency by minimizing unnecessary mileage
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives and Sales on expedited orders and regional fulfillment
  • Manage common carrier billing, RMAs, and TPA shipping communications
  • Oversee driver trip documentation and log verification
  • Audit BOLs and validate missed reason codes for OTIFNE
  • Manage backorders and future orders effectively
  • Support the Stop Work Authority Program
  • Escalate issues to the Freight Manager as necessary

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and adapt, with strong communication skills
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Understanding of FMCSA and State DOT regulations, including HOS rules

Educational Background and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of office or computer experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in transportation (dispatch, driver, administration)

Compensation:

$22.00-$28.00 hourly, non-exempt. Compensation may vary based on location, shift, and factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
