What does this entail? During rainfall, we effectively capture water through our drainage systems, transport it with our piping solutions, store it using chambers, and treat it with our water quality products, ensuring that water is safely returned to the environment.

We manage what we refer to as the complete lifecycle of a raindrop.

Our solutions play a crucial role in flood prevention, enhancing the quality of life for residents in urban areas, suburbs, and rural communities.

We are also committed to promoting a circular economy and are recognized as the largest plastic recycling firm in North America.

By repurposing plastic bottles, we divert over 500 million pounds of plastic from landfills annually to create our piping products.

With a global network comprising over 60 manufacturing facilities and 30 distribution centers, we have compelling stories to share, and we seek your assistance in communicating our mission.

Responsibilities

The Route Planner is tasked with efficiently managing driver and customer interactions through effective communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving. This role encompasses dispatching and shipping-related duties. Additionally, the Route Planner serves as a backup for the Freight Manager and may be considered for succession in this position. Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Key Responsibilities:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Fostering a safe and inclusive environment for drivers
  • Scheduling orders to align with on-time delivery expectations and customer requirements
  • Verifying customer delivery schedules with accurate addresses and contact details
  • Communicating driver routes promptly to maintain work-life balance and predictability
  • Constructing executable loads and organizing delivery stops with safety as a priority
  • Enhancing driver productivity, optimizing fleet asset utilization, and maximizing payload per delivery
  • Improving route efficiency by minimizing unnecessary mileage
  • Collaborating with Customer Service Representatives and Sales on expedited orders and regional fulfillment
  • Managing common carrier/UPS billing and Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs)
  • Overseeing driver trip documentation and log verification
  • Auditing Bills of Lading and validating missed reason codes for On-Time In-Full Not Exceeding (OTIFNE)
  • Managing backorders and future orders
  • Supporting the Stop Work Authority Program
  • Escalating issues to the Freight Manager

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and adapt, with strong communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Familiarity with FMCSA and State DOT regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) rules

Educational Background:

Preferred Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of office/computer experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in transportation (dispatch, driver, administration)

Compensation:
$22.00-$28.00 hourly, non-exempt

Individual compensation may vary based on work location, shift, and factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
