Based in Hilliard, Ohio, we are a leading company in stormwater management, specializing in the production of pipes and related products.

Our mission is to manage rainwater effectively, capturing it through our drain basins, transporting it via our pipes, storing it with our chambers, and treating it with our water quality solutions, ensuring it is safely returned to the environment.

We address the complete lifecycle of rainwater, helping to mitigate flooding and enhance the quality of life in urban, suburban, and rural areas.

Moreover, we are dedicated to promoting a circular economy, being the largest plastic recycling entity in North America. We repurpose plastic bottles to manufacture our pipes, diverting over 500 million pounds of plastic from landfills annually.

With a global network of over 60 manufacturing facilities and 30 distribution centers, we have compelling stories to share, and we need your expertise to communicate our narrative effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The Route Planner plays a crucial role in managing driver and customer interactions through effective communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving. This includes overseeing dispatch and shipping operations. The Route Planner also serves as a backup for the Freight Manager and may be considered for future advancement.

Primary Duties Include:
  • Fostering a safe and inclusive work environment for drivers
  • Coordinating order schedules to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations
  • Verifying customer delivery details, including addresses and contact information
  • Communicating driver routes promptly to ensure work-life balance and predictability
  • Creating efficient loads and planning delivery stops with safety as a priority
  • Enhancing driver productivity, fleet utilization, and load capacity
  • Improving route efficiency by minimizing unnecessary mileage
  • Collaborating with Customer Service Representatives and Sales on expedited orders and regional logistics
  • Managing common carrier billing and returns
  • Overseeing driver documentation and trip entry verification
  • Auditing Bills of Lading and validating missed reason codes
  • Managing backorders and future orders
  • Supporting the Stop Work Authority Program
  • Raising concerns to the Freight Manager as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge:
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and a team player
  • Willingness to learn and adapt, with strong communication abilities
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Familiarity with FMCSA and State DOT regulations, including Hours of Service rules

Educational Background

Preferred Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of office or computer experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in transportation (dispatch, driver, administration)

Compensation Information

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.00 to $28.00, depending on various factors such as work location, shift, and relevant skills and experience.
