Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Order Selector at Performance Foodservice, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of products through our production process. Your primary responsibility will be to select cases and other containers of food and non-food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using your skills and experience to meet productivity and accuracy standards while maintaining a safe and inclusive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select cases and other containers of food and non-food products to fill customer orders
• Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks to locate products according to order sheets
• Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required
• Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area, and may be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging
• Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning properly
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines

Requirements:

• 6 months experience in a highly physical, labor-intensive position
• Ability to work in varying temperature zones, from freezer temperatures to non-air-conditioned temperatures in the summer
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Strong service orientation and ability to work independently with little supervision
• Basic math skills and basic reading skills
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and overtime as required
