Role Summary:

The Warehouse Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting food and non-food items to fulfill customer orders from a multi-level storage system. This role involves placing items on pallets and transporting completed orders to the loading dock using an electric pallet jack or forklift, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards while maintaining an efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and work methods as per company guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment and reporting any hazards immediately.
  • Review daily work schedules, gather necessary supplies, and prepare for operations. Conduct safety checks on equipment and ensure all safety devices are operational.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks as established by the location and company standards.
  • Utilize pallet jacks to navigate multi-level racks and locate products based on order specifications.
  • Manually select and place stock items onto pallets from designated pick slots and racks as needed.
  • Transport completed customer orders to the shipping dock staging area, which may include shrink-wrapping pallets for staging.
  • Manage battery replacements for equipment and complete necessary vehicle inspections at the end of each shift.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., construction, warehouse, machine operation, agriculture, freight handling).
  • Ability to work in various temperature environments, including freezers and non-air-conditioned areas.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Adaptability to changes in work processes and materials.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic math and reading skills are required.
  • Willingness to work full-time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Successful completion of a post-offer drug test and background check is required.
