Position Summary:

Select cases and various containers of food and non-food products to fulfill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems.

Items are placed on pallets, and completed orders are transported to the loading dock staging area using an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled, and prepared for shipment promptly while adhering to all safety regulations and ensuring that quality standards are maintained, thereby supporting the efficient flow of products through the production process.

Act as a collaborative team member within the department and organization, performing any assigned duties to best serve the company.


Position Responsibilities:
Adhere to all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures according to company guidelines. Ensure the work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions or actions immediately.
Review work schedule, gather necessary supplies, and prepare for operations.

Conduct a safety check on the pallet jack/forklift to be utilized and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning correctly.

Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
Meet required productivity and accuracy standards as per location and company guidelines.
Place pallets on the pallet jack and operate along designated multi-level racks, locating products according to order sheets.
Manually position the appropriate stock items on the pallet from pick slots and racks as needed. Utilize single and/or double pallets as directed.
Transport completed palletized customer orders to the shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallets for staging.
Remove batteries needing recharging, replace them with charged batteries, or connect the recharger and complete the vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 6 months of experience in a physically demanding, labor-intensive role (e.g., construction, distribution warehouse, equipment/machine operator, farmhand, freight handler, or other positions requiring continuous activity and heavy lifting and/or dealing with multi-temperatures)
  • Ability to work in varying temperature zones, from freezer temperatures to non-air-conditioned environments in the summer
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 80 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment, including the use and types of materials/tools, methods, and work instructions
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to producing quality work

  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Availability to work a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
