Director of Development

Join the Archdiocese of Denver Management Co. team as we seek a highly motivated and experienced Director of Development to lead our fundraising and engagement efforts.

About the Role

The Director of Development will be responsible for planning, guiding, and evaluating the development efforts of our school, including fundraising, enrollment management, marketing, event planning, grant writing, communication, and public relations. This is a part-time position, requiring 20-25 hours/week, 40 weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enrollment Management:
    • Develop and implement marketing, recruitment, and retention strategies to attract and retain students.
    • Work closely with key volunteers to coordinate external and internal marketing efforts.
    • Collect and track enrollment data, make projections, and report enrollment management data.
  • Fundraising:
    • Develop and implement fundraising and friend-raising initiatives, including annual giving, major gifts, sponsorships, and events.
    • Identify and evaluate new fundraising opportunities.
    • Manage grant writing and identification of new grant opportunities.
  • Communications:
    • Work with the Principal and Communications Department to create engagement-related content, including bulletin entries, Flocknote content, newsletter articles, social media, website development, and annual reports.
Requirements

We are seeking a motivated self-starter with experience in enrollment management, development, sales, marketing, and communication, preferably in the field of education. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Superior communication skills, able to engage and inspire donors.
  • Ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for Catholic education.
  • Leadership and effectiveness in developing and accomplishing organizational goals.
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Excel, and the Internet.
