Restaurant General Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team at IHOP. As a Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, including managing staff, inventory, and finances. You will also be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Operations Management: Ensure seamless daily operations, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of health and safety.
  • Financial Management: Control labor and food costs, monitor financial performance, and drive profitability through effective budgeting and forecasting.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional service, handle guest complaints, and implement strategies to boost customer satisfaction.
  • Sales and Marketing: Develop and execute effective sales strategies and promotional activities to drive revenue growth.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high food quality and consistency, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage budgets, schedules, and payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop policies and set performance goals aligned with company objectives, driving business growth and success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • College degree preferred, with a strong understanding of business operations and management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
