Job Overview

Position Title: Clinical Coordinator - Surgical Technologist

Working Hours: 8am-5pm or 6:30am-3pm

Role Summary: The Clinical Coordinator is tasked with a variety of responsibilities that encompass teaching, managing clinical partnerships, overseeing student activities in clinical environments, and maintaining comprehensive records related to clinical education.

This role necessitates a commitment to the core values upheld by CHCP, which guide our daily operations and interactions. These values represent our foundational principles and are integral to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and sustain clinical partnerships for student rotations and externships.
  • Organize schedules for clinical placements and allocate faculty responsibilities.
  • Guide and evaluate clinical faculty performance.
  • Compile and maintain records, including case logs and clinical assessments.
  • Verify that students fulfill clinical affiliate prerequisites during their rotations.
  • Keep an accurate record of student grades in a secure format.
  • Communicate student academic progress and submit final evaluations.
  • Participate in required faculty meetings and professional development activities.
  • Engage in ongoing education and document professional growth.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations at the state, federal, and institutional levels.
  • Follow academic policies and procedures for compliance.
  • Support student advising initiatives.
  • Assist the Director of Education with administrative tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Associate Degree is mandatory.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited National Certification program.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in the role of a surgical technologist.
