Position Summary

As a Surgical Services RN Coordinator, you will leverage your expertise in biological, physical, and social sciences to support the Manager in delivering exceptional nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the operating room schedule effectively.
  • Provide consultation in complex patient care scenarios requiring advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Act as a clinical resource for problem-solving and assist staff with patient-related challenges and emergencies.
  • Collaborate with various departments and patient care services to ensure seamless case progression and uphold high standards of nursing care.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to enhance staff competencies in nursing care delivery based on established professional standards.
  • Identify and address non-compliance with hospital policies, utilizing the Policy and Procedure Manual for guidance.
  • Participate in cost management initiatives, including product evaluations and inventory oversight.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Licensure:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an operating room setting.
