Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Security Supervisor acts as a role model within the organization, demonstrating professionalism, a commitment to learning, and adherence to the GSSC Core Values. This role involves supervising Security Officers and other personnel assigned to various posts at client locations, ensuring compliance with the highest quality standards set by GSSC, and guaranteeing that all post orders are executed, rounds are completed, and reports are accurately filed.

The Security Supervisor will assist the Area Manager with the following tasks:

  • Ensure the effective and consistent delivery of security services and mission objectives.
  • Identify and coordinate staffing requirements for Security Officers.
  • Perform supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations, which may include interviewing, training, planning, assigning work, coaching, performance appraisal, and addressing employee concerns.
  • Maintain open communication with Security Personnel.
  • Coordinate and maintain operational schedules for personnel and services.
  • Develop and implement officer duties and responsibilities.
  • Support Security and District Management in acquiring new security clients and operations, coordinating new services, and establishing quality assurance measures.
  • Assist with payroll and billing data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain operational reports and documentation.
  • Ensure completion and distribution of service documentation as required.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of security operations and effectiveness.
  • Oversee operational files, reports, and documentation.
  • Implement effective training programs for new personnel and ongoing education with Management.
  • Identify and resolve employee conflicts to foster a productive work environment.
  • Ensure timely and fair performance evaluations.
  • Address personnel issues and determine appropriate actions.
  • Conduct internal investigations of employee misconduct and prepare reports.
  • Collaborate with District Management during the termination process.
  • Maintain inventories and serviceability of equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pass Motor Vehicle Record Check and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Pass State & Federal background checks.
  • Two years of supervisory and related security experience (Preference for Military Veterans, Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Security-related experience).
  • Ability to meet and maintain applicable licensing requirements.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), administrative, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in managing and supervising staff, including scheduling, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Exemplify exceptional leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking abilities.
  • Exhibit a professional, motivational, and enthusiastic management style.
