Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

As a financial steward, you will oversee the financial reporting process and ensure the implementation of robust internal controls. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Enhancing financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Establishing cost accounting processes that support precise product costing.
  • Collaborating with operational teams to analyze processes and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Developing and managing financial dashboards, KPIs, and business reporting requirements.
  • Preparing financial data for corporate reporting and consolidation.
  • Ensuring adherence to corporate policies and tax regulations.
  • Engaging in special projects as required.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required), with a CPA designation preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance within a manufacturing context.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in data management and basic knowledge of SQL reporting.

  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, including IFRS/GAAP and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team, focusing on talent growth and performance optimization.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A blend of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement in daily operations.
  • Proficiency in developing BI tools for insightful financial analysis.
