As a Senior Account Executive for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), you will formulate and implement a strategic sales plan aimed at generating cloud subscription revenue with SAP clients. The BTP Account Executive must cultivate and sustain a comprehensive understanding of SAP's ongoing and upcoming initiatives in Digital Transformation, Process Optimization, Data Architecture & Data Fabric, Modern Analytics, and Application Optimization. The capability to link customer outcomes to SAP and partner solutions is crucial, particularly regarding products that include the cloud-based Business Technology Platform.

The BTP Account Executive will concentrate on fostering innovation. A significant aspect of success in this role hinges on the Executive's ability to learn and communicate how SAP can drive innovation within client accounts, enhancing revenue, margins, and market positioning. The Executive will receive support from SAP resources and collaborate closely with various support teams to meet their goals, reporting to a regional leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Illustrate the business advantages and value proposition of SAP Database, Data Management, Analytics, and Technology solutions.
  • Work alongside support teams to optimize SAP BTP revenue.
  • Identify client business challenges and articulate those challenges into SAP solutions.
  • Spot opportunities for innovation within the client base and mobilize resources to demonstrate the innovation and its business value.
  • Generate new business sales opportunities in untapped accounts.
  • Oversee multiple complex sales opportunities concurrently.
  • Secure intricate sales agreements in a competitive landscape to meet sales objectives.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the SAP BTP portfolio and industry trends.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience in selling Database, Data Management, Analytics, and/or Technology solutions to large enterprises.
  • Experience in marketing Artificial Intelligence, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Process Automation, and Low Code/No Code (LCNC) solutions.
  • Management of extensive, complex sales cycles with a focus on achieving quotas.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging at the CXO level.

Educational Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Teradata, Informatica, MapR, AWS, Google Cloud, Cloudera, Hortonworks, or other related data management technologies.
  • Understanding of the business value and positioning of Platform as a Service solutions like SAP BTP, MuleSoft, etc.
  • Ability to forecast/manage sales cycles and successfully close new business.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, planning, and execution skills.
  • Strong business development, prospecting, and presentation abilities.
  • A proven history of surpassing sales targets and developing territories/accounts.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
