Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Responsible for registering patients, scheduling appointments, and verifying patient demographic information.
  • Customer Service: Provides world-class customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive experience and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Clearance: Ensures accurate and timely financial clearance for patients, including verifying insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility, and obtaining necessary authorizations for services.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OIG, and other relevant laws and regulations, and maintains accurate records and documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: 0-1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting; 0-1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in computer applications, including scheduling and registration systems.

The Patient Access Representative II will work in a hospital administration setting, interacting with patients, families, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
