Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist I to provide exceptional support services at Liberty Hospital. This role is the face of the patient experience, responsible for scheduling, registration, insurance verification, co-pay or co-insurance collections, and other related tasks within the revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality support services to patients, including scheduling and registration.
  • Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays or co-insurance.
  • Perform data collection processes that impact departments such as Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management, Prior Authorization, Care Management, and Clinical Services.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and provide a positive first impression of Liberty Hospital.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of healthcare registration experience.
  • Six months of clerical or customer service experience in a front-facing office setting or retail position.
  • Ability to multi-task, strong computer experience, and basic mathematics and payment processing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent college hours.
  • Prior medical clerical experience and understanding of medical terminology and standard insurance forms.
