Position Overview

The Sales Associate is instrumental in driving the sales initiatives of the community, contributing to the formulation and implementation of the marketing strategy, achieving occupancy targets, and adhering to Century Park's standards while complying with all relevant laws and regulations. This role reports directly to the Sales Director.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

A minimum of one year of successful sales experience in senior living is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative and Strategic Planning

  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date leads database.
  • Ensures the waitlist is current and precise.
  • Monitors the list of primary and secondary referral sources within the local market.
  • Prepares accurate and timely sales reports.
  • Ensures move-in documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Tracks new residents to identify their previous residences.
  • Conducts demographic analyses to identify areas with the highest potential resident concentrations.
  • Assists in the planning, development, execution, and evaluation of the community's strategic marketing plan.
  • Maintains budget compliance regarding labor and expenses, keeping a written record of expenditures.
  • Tracks all marketing outcomes, including leads generated and tours conducted.

Sales and Marketing Focus

  • Enhances overall resident census and meets specific occupancy goals.
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with referral sources.
  • Aims to meet or exceed established goals, including sales calls, conducted tours, inquiry follow-ups, and move-ins.
  • Effectively closes sales with prospective residents and their families.
  • Increases community awareness within the broader local community.
  • Participates in local marketing events, health fairs, and civic organization activities.
  • Assists in organizing and hosting marketing and waitlist events.
  • Develops and conducts benefit-oriented tours for inquiries.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director and other department managers to ensure all common areas and available apartments are ready for showings.
  • Implements and oversees the inquiry follow-up process to convert leads into residents.
  • Maintains regular communication with waitlist and leads.
  • Engages in conference calls coordinated by support services with other sales associates in the region.
  • Ensures that the goals set by the Sales Director are achieved.

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess reliable transportation and be willing to travel as necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
  • Must demonstrate an outgoing, energetic personality with strong listening skills and the ability to persuade others.
  • Expert knowledge in the field of practice is required.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions when necessary.
  • Understanding of the urgency to build occupancy and generate referrals.
  • Ability to implement and interpret the sales department's programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrates effective follow-through with prospective leads and referral sources.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
  • Possesses effective networking and account management skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and trust.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information.
  • Adheres to company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures.
  • Demonstrates integrity and professionalism in alignment with Century Park's Code of Ethics.
