Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Tufts Medicine. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers while ensuring accurate and efficient registration and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register patients for appointments and services, ensuring accurate and complete demographic and financial information
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits eligibility
  • Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
