Job Title and Summary

The Deputy Director for Community Investment and Planning is a key position within the Governor's Office of Planning and Research. This role is responsible for managing the office's community development and infrastructure investment portfolio, which includes programs such as the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program, the Transformative Climate Communities Program, and the Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the office's community development and infrastructure investment portfolio, including programs such as the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program, the Transformative Climate Communities Program, and the Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation Program.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve the office's goals and objectives in community development and infrastructure investment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including state agencies, local governments, and community organizations, to advance the office's mission and goals.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to local governments and community organizations to help them develop and implement community development and infrastructure investment projects.
  • Develop and manage budgets and work plans to achieve the office's goals and objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as urban planning, public policy, or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in community development and infrastructure investment, including experience in program management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
