Attorney IV

Under the administrative direction of the Chief Deputy Director, the Attorney IV serves as the Chief Counsel for the Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) to ensure the Department's programmatic and fiscal compliance with all legal requirements of its federal funding sources and all applicable state laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Render a wide range of support and legal advice to the Director, Chief Deputy Director, Deputy Director of Administration, Deputy Director of Programs, and Branch Chiefs.
- Work closely with internal business units to assist the development of subvention contracts, vendor agreements, and service contracts, and other legal documents.
- Represent the Department in routine administrative matters and assist the Office of the Attorney General in judicial and more complex administrative proceedings.
- Provide legal information on program and fiscal compliance and related legislation to the Department's contractors, including the development and review of important documents issued by the Department.
- Strong knowledge of business environments to effectively advise Executive staff and team members on important decisions impacting the Department.
- Ability to work with broad discretion and independence with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
