Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Lead the creation and ongoing enhancement of corporate fleet and workplace safety initiatives to align with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Fleet Safety Oversight: Manage the safety protocols for the company's fleet operations, including driver training and vehicle maintenance in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Workplace Safety Implementation: Establish and oversee safety procedures, conduct hazard assessments, and develop emergency response plans across various job sites.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT, and other relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Incident Analysis: Lead investigations into safety incidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Training and Development: Create and deliver safety training programs for all employees, ensuring a consistent understanding of safety protocols.
  • Safety Audits: Perform regular safety inspections at job sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Performance Reporting: Maintain detailed records of safety inspections and incidents, preparing reports for senior management.
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a proactive safety culture within the organization, encouraging continuous improvement in safety practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST) are required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, ideally within the construction or restoration sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other pertinent safety regulations.
  • Experience in developing and executing fleet safety programs.
  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
