About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Amports. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, as well as maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create and implement effective safety policies and procedures to minimize workplace hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential risks and hazards in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor and Report Incidents: Investigate and report all workplace incidents, including accidents and near-misses.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with HR, Operations, and other departments to ensure safety and compliance initiatives are integrated into daily operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • OSHA Certification: Possess a valid OSHA certification and ability to obtain TWIC badge.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
