Job Overview

Position Summary:

As a Junior Risk and Compliance Specialist at AugmentJobs, you will play a vital role in our risk management and compliance department. Your main responsibility will be to assist in the formulation, execution, and oversight of risk management and compliance initiatives. You will help identify potential risks, ensure adherence to regulations, and contribute to the development of strategies aimed at risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Evaluation: Aid in performing risk evaluations to uncover possible threats and weaknesses within the organization. Assess risk factors and communicate findings to the Risk and Compliance Supervisor.
  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Assist in the supervision and assessment of compliance with regulatory standards, internal guidelines, and protocols. Conduct regular audits and compliance assessments.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Ensure precise documentation of compliance efforts and risk evaluations. Generate comprehensive reports and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Policy Formulation: Contribute to the creation and revision of policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current regulations and best practices. Support the dissemination and training of these policies to team members.
  • Incident Response: Participate in the investigation of compliance breaches and risk incidents. Assist in crafting action plans for remediation and follow up on the execution of corrective actions.
  • Data Interpretation: Examine risk and compliance data to detect trends and areas for enhancement. Utilize data-driven insights to aid in decision-making and strategy formulation.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure a unified approach to risk management and compliance. Provide assistance and expertise on compliance-related matters as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline. Certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CRCM are advantageous.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, auditing, or a related area. Experience in financial services or a regulated sector is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with risk management and compliance software is beneficial.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of risk management principles, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. High level of integrity and professionalism.
