Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Coordinator to join our team at Schweiger Dermatology Group. As a Medical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers and patients by performing a variety of clinical and front office duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Support
    • Assist healthcare providers with medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
    • Prepare exam rooms for procedures and clean them after each visit
    • Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment
  • Front Office Duties
    • Check patients in and out, collect payments, and process insurance claims
    • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service
    • Manage patient records, update medical histories, and maintain confidentiality
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Complete Daily Activity Reports and financial duties, such as entering charges and payments
    • Assist with scheduling appointments, managing waitlists, and coordinating patient flow
    • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical or dermatology setting; experience with EMR software and patient scheduling systems a plus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
