Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant - Certified to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Medical Assistant - Certified, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient health status and implement care plans
- Coordinate patient flow and prepare patients for examination
- Take and record vital signs and EKGs
- Document intake assessments and assist physicians with clinical procedures
- Perform basic laboratory procedures and draw blood as required
- Triage medical calls and return patient calls as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant from a recognized organization
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English in a clear and concise manner
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- BLS Certification
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Medical terminology and computer skills
