Safety Manager Position

At VetJobs, we are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the senior safety manager and project team in the successful completion of a construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including project owners, insurance carriers, and Hensel Phelps staff, craft, and trade partners.
Enhance safety culture through participation in executive safety culture charrettes and assisting the CARES (craft safety) committee.
Assist project team with safety start-up, program development, implementation, and management, including creating and managing the safety budget and anticipating necessary safety supplies for employees.
Oversee the safety point file system and documentation, maintain project statistical data, and participate in the six-step quality control/safety process, including assisting with activity hazard analyses and participating in follow-up inspections.
Conduct project safety training, as needed, and assist in developing the project safety training schedule, and assist other team members in conducting safety training, including tailgate meetings.
Lead the development and implementation of the project's SAFE program, analyze project safety trends, and work with PS to implement initiatives to address unsafe trends.
Conduct project safety audits and assist in team audits, and perform personnel evaluation and development.
Requirements:
A 4-year degree is preferred, with an Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested. A minimum of 3 years of experience in safety on commercial construction projects is required, with a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Certification designation suggested. A valid Driver's License is also required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.
