Key Responsibilities- Partner with Amazon Worldwide Design Engineering teams to ensure new equipment and modifications to existing EV infrastructure equipment comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and harmonized standards.
- Lead process hazard analyses (PHAs), assist in the development and review of equipment designs, and provide guidance on requirements for controls and devices.
- Collaborate with various engineering, design, and operations teams to drive a systematic approach to address risk identification, mitigation, and management of safety solutions.
- Travel up to 50% of the time to support global projects and initiatives.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Experience in safety engineering programs in manufacturing or production environments.
- Knowledge and understanding of certification bodies for approvals that comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Knowledge of International and EU/NA Standards such as EU Machinery Directive, ISO, ANSI, OSHA, NFPA.
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- CSME or other functional safety certification.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing demands, goals, timelines, and priorities.
- Ability to collaborate and lead in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
