As a Sales Representative at VLCM, you will make things happen for our clients and their IT goals supporting technology initiatives at every stage. If you are a high-energy, self-starter with a solid work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, then we want to talk to you.
Your Role
You will be responsible for prospecting new clients through cold/warm calls, email, and marketing events to power positive, long-term relationships. You will assess client technology goals and challenges by offering a myriad of solutions. Building relationships with manufacturing and distribution partners is also crucial. Additionally, you will up your technical knowledge with regular training and certifications. Your tasks will include identifying and properly qualifying business opportunities and qualified leads. Presenting business solutions to prospective customers with extensive follow-up and coaching will also be part of your responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a candidate with experience as a business development rep preferred, but not required. Strong consultative or process background and ability to lead people in discussions to uncover needs and prioritize requirements are essential. Experience leading demonstrations is preferred. A self-starter with a solid work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit is a must. Knowledge of business organization structures, buying influences, negotiation, and purchasing processes is preferred, however on-the-job training will be provided. The ideal candidate shows capacity to learn quickly and receptive to directions and training. They must manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Strong verbal communications, written and presentation skills are necessary. A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
