Nursing Operations Supervisor

Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nurses (ADON) to enhance our healthcare services and ensure exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Operate and supervise within the designated scope of practice for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state.
2) Engage in the development, review, and revision of the nursing department's philosophy, objectives, and standards of practice.
3) Make administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
4) Review, maintain, and update job descriptions and policies for the nursing department as required.
5) Adhere to the nursing department's budgetary guidelines for operations.
6) Ensure fair staffing schedules are created, updated regularly, posted for staff, and manage time-off requests according to policy while maintaining daily staffing PPD's as per regulations.
7) Collaborate with nursing staff and support personnel in planning facility services, progress, and activities as necessary.
8) Contribute to establishing a competitive wage, salary, and benefits plan for nursing department personnel.
9) Participate in pre-screening resident referrals for admission appropriateness, collaborating with relevant departments to ensure proper room assignments and specialized needs are met.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, stoop, bend, lift, grasp, push, pull, and perform fine motor coordination. Must be able to hear and respond to overhead pages and communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and consultants. Must apply training and in-service education provided. A neat, clean, and professional appearance is essential, along with a positive demeanor towards employees and residents.
