Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nurses (ADON) to enhance our healthcare services and ensure exceptional patient care.
in line with organizational policies and relevant state and federal laws, while customizing protocols to guarantee the highest standard of care as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Operate and manage within the authorized scope of practice for a Registered Nurse
(RN) in the relevant state.
2) Engage in the formulation, evaluation, and modification of the philosophy, objectives, and
standards of practice for the nursing division.
3) Make administrative choices in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
4) Review, maintain, and revise the nursing department's job descriptions and policies and
procedures as required.
5) Monitor and adhere to the nursing department's budgetary constraints for operations.
6) Ensure that staffing schedules are developed equitably, updated regularly, communicated to the staff, time
off requests are processed according to policy, and the daily staffing PPD's are maintained
per policy and regulation.
7) Conduct meetings with nursing personnel and support staff to plan facility services,
progress, and activities as necessary.
8) Contribute to establishing a competitive compensation, salary, and benefits structure for nursing
department personnel.
9) Assist in pre-screening resident referrals for suitability of admission,
collaborate with relevant departments to ensure appropriate room assignments and other
specialized needs/conditions as required.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Walking, sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, bending,
lifting, grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine-hand coordination. Ability to hear and respond to
overhead announcements. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, personnel, vendors, and
consultants. Ability to apply training and in-service education provided. Must maintain a neat,
clean, professional appearance and demonstrate a positive demeanor with employees and
residents.
