Overview:


We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nurses (ADON) to enhance our nursing leadership team and ensure exceptional care for our patients.

The ADON will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and supervising the nursing staff, nursing initiatives, and adherence to regulations


in line with facility protocols and relevant state and federal laws, while tailoring processes to guarantee the highest standards of care as assigned by the Director of Nursing.


Key Responsibilities:
1) Function and oversee within the designated scope of practice for a Registered Nurse

(RN) as per state regulations.

2) Engage in the formulation, assessment, and updates of the nursing department's philosophy, objectives, and

standards of practice.

3) Make administrative choices in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

4) Review, maintain, and revise nursing department job descriptions and policies and

procedures as required.

5) Monitor and adhere to the nursing department's budgetary guidelines for operations.

6) Ensure equitable staffing schedules are developed, regularly updated, displayed for staff, time

off requests are processed according to policy, and daily staffing PPD's are upheld

in accordance with policy and regulations.

7) Collaborate with nursing staff and support personnel in planning facility services,

progress, and activities as necessary.

8) Assist in establishing a competitive compensation, salary, and benefits structure for nursing

department personnel.

9) Participate in pre-screening resident referrals for suitability of admission,

working with relevant departments to ensure appropriate room assignments and other

specialized needs/conditions as required.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Walking, sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, bending,

lifting, grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine motor coordination. Ability to hear and respond to

overhead announcements. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and

consultants. Ability to apply training and in-service education provided. Must maintain a neat,

clean, professional appearance and exhibit a positive demeanor with employees and

residents.
