Job Summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sustainability strategies that align with our company's goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives in the food and hospitality industry, including reducing waste, conserving resources, and promoting sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, culinary, and finance, to ensure seamless implementation of sustainability initiatives.
  • Conduct regular sustainability compliance evaluations and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including suppliers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Measure and report on the impact of sustainability initiatives, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular updates to leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, nutrition, hospitality, communications, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in sustainability, project management, or hospitality industry operations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with a focus on attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Ability to influence without authority and manage up and across the organization.
Preferred Skills:
  • Project management or large-scale strategy deployment experience.
  • Culinary and/or food service experience.
  • Familiarity with core business data, including SAP, P&L statements, and purchasing data.
  • Familiarity with visualization tools, including Tableau, PowerBI, and Looker.
