Job Summary

World Relief is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Events and Conference Strategy Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive strategy around events, amplifying the brand, and driving donor acquisition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create an annual event and conference strategy that aligns with organizational goals
  • Work with Marketing, SED, and Advocacy departments to develop a speakers bureau and identify spokespeople/representatives
  • Develop an influencer strategy and plan high-visibility events
  • Actively pursue mainstage speaking opportunities at identified conferences and events
  • Plan and manage World Relief's participation in events, including logistics, representation, and promotional materials
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding at events
  • Coordinate with International Programs, Advocacy, Church & Community Engagement, and other departments to understand their event schedules and determine where World Relief can get involved
  • Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective strategies
  • Maintain relationships with event organizers and partners
  • Post-event follow-up, including gathering and analyzing feedback to improve future participation
Requirements
  • Past experience in event planning and coordination
  • Strong project management skills
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office programs, Asana, and Google Drive
  • Knowledgeable in the use of AI as a tool to manage routine tasks and streamline processes
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced team environment, working with attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to meet deadlines and budget
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a disposition that is positive and professional
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in event planning/coordinating
  • Preferred experience in event strategy creation
  • Well-developed problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
