Position Overview

The Construction Project Supervisor plays a pivotal role in managing on-site construction activities. This includes overseeing all site operations, coordinating subcontractors and labor forces, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and delivering projects that meet the highest quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and execute project timelines, collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure milestones are met. Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate project changes or unexpected delays.
  • On-Site Management: Supervise daily construction site operations, managing labor, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly inspect work performed by subcontractors and laborers to ensure it meets building codes and standards, addressing any quality concerns promptly.
  • Safety Oversight: Implement and uphold safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Coordination and Communication: Act as the main liaison between the construction site and project stakeholders, facilitating effective communication among architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the procurement and delivery of construction materials, manage equipment maintenance, and control project costs through efficient labor and material management.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address issues that arise during construction, making timely decisions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years in construction management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification and other relevant credentials are preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities, along with proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite.

Key Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Work Environment

This role primarily involves working on construction sites, which may expose you to varying weather conditions. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required based on project demands.
