Strategic Vice President for Impact Initiatives

We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President to lead our Impact Team in driving strategic communications and mission-driven work. This role will be based in our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid basis.

The successful candidate will have 6+ years of experience in campaign politics, strategic communications, media relations, advocacy, journalism, or a related field. They will be an avid consumer of news, with a strong news sense and knowledge of the media, and experience engaging and maintaining strong relationships with key reporters covering the top issues of the day.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communications skills, with the ability to multi-task easily and handle multiple assignments at once. They will also have a personal commitment to and knowledge of social justice, and understand organizing and advocacy communications, including social media campaigning, writing for the web, and how to engage with members of the media.

The Vice President will be responsible for leading strategic conversations and advancing the communications strategy for multiple high-profile client accounts to deliver top-notch results for our clients. They will also develop and oversee integrated campaigns that leverage public affairs, media and digital tactics to reach key audiences and achieve client goals.

The role will involve directly managing and mentoring staff, and providing overall strategic direction and feedback for their development and client work. The successful candidate will also collaborate closely with the Impact management team to develop and inspire our team of strategists to be innovative and creative.

We offer a competitive industry rate salary band, with a salary range of $130,000-$150,000 (commensurate with experience and skills). The role also comes with a range of benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance for employees and dependents, a 401K with a 4% employer match and no vesting period, and generous paid time off (PTO).
