The Hartford is actively growing its Large Property business unit, focusing on a diverse array of sectors, including manufacturing, education, healthcare, financial services, real estate, and more.

The Large Property Underwriter will serve as the primary relationship manager and point of contact for multiple agents and brokers within a designated territory.

This role will collaborate with a dynamic team of Large Property underwriters to deliver specialized underwriting, insurance solutions, and risk management services, supporting the ongoing profitable growth of our dedicated practice.

In a team-oriented environment, this position will work together to manage new and renewal business production underwriting, service accounts, identify key property agents and brokers, implement sales and marketing strategies, and demonstrate a strong customer-centric approach while thoroughly understanding The Hartford's Large Property unit's appetite and strategy.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Executive Underwriter title: 5+ years of experience in commercial property underwriting and marketing.
Senior Underwriter title: 3+ years of experience in commercial property underwriting and marketing.
Proven success in establishing and maintaining robust relationships with internal and external business partners.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Adeptness in analyzing business challenges, providing recommendations, and proposing solutions.
A high-energy self-starter with resilience and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Goal-oriented with a focus on delivering results.
Ability to challenge the status quo and strive for excellence.
Superior technical knowledge along with sound decision-making and analytical capabilities.
Valid driver's license as a company pool car may be provided.

Compensation:
The annualized base pay range is primarily based on an analysis of similar roles in the external market.

Actual base pay may vary and could be above or below the listed range based on factors such as performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role.

The base pay is just one aspect of The Hartford's comprehensive compensation package for employees. Additional rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.

The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$96,560 - $182,640. The posted salary range reflects our capacity to hire at various position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
