Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and determine risk acceptance or rejection, ensuring alignment with profitability objectives for both new business and renewals.
- Analyze coverage requests and establish appropriate terms and pricing in accordance with company policies.
- Utilize independent judgment to drive business goals while maintaining strict underwriting standards.
- Document underwriting decisions comprehensively, ensuring a clear rationale is provided.
- Assess prior claims data to inform current underwriting practices.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients to foster profitable business retention.
- Adhere to corporate guidelines when placing reinsurance.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Property Underwriting.
- Proven track record working with wholesale brokers.
- Exceptional technical acumen and marketing capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape and market conditions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential.
- A college degree or equivalent experience is preferred; ARM and CPCU designations are advantageous.
