Position Overview

BrightSpring Health Services is a prominent provider in the home infusion therapy sector. We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to enhance our Pharmacy team as we expand our services across the nation. The Pharmacist will report directly to the Pharmacy Manager and will play a crucial role in our operations.

This Pharmacist role is PRN, requiring availability for onsite work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays for on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess IV Certification.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist, your duties will include:

Assessing and overseeing drug therapy in collaboration with healthcare professionals to meet the comprehensive needs of home care patients. Complying with organizational policies and all relevant state and federal pharmacy regulations. Upholding accreditation standards and engaging in quality assurance initiatives. Facilitating new patient referrals and admissions through effective communication with nursing staff and customer service. Reviewing and verifying new patient orders, ensuring accurate documentation. Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to: Develop and implement patient care plans in home settings; Set therapeutic goals for medication management; Establish monitoring parameters for drug safety and effectiveness; Prepare regular updates on patient progress. Conduct thorough assessments of patient, medication, and disease information to identify potential drug-related issues. Monitor drug therapy outcomes by analyzing laboratory and clinical data. Provide expert consultation and respond to inquiries from patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding medications. Maintain detailed documentation of all clinical interactions and activities in patient records. Process and verify all medications and supplies prior to dispensing. Stay updated on pharmacotherapy practices through continuous education and professional development opportunities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred. Active Registered Pharmacist License in relevant states. Minimum of two years of recent experience in an acute-care environment or one year in home infusion therapy. Experience in compounding infused medications. Proven ability to evaluate and manage drug therapies for home care patients. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Membership in professional organizations is advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Flexibility to work on-call during evenings and weekends as needed.

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate of $62.00.
